The Brief

Decora is among the UK and Europe’s leaders in the design and manufacture of window coverings. As part of their strategy for growth, they have identified key markets in which they can use digital to sell their products directly to the consumer at home.

Decora engaged us to help them produce a consumer brand identity for an exciting new window blinds and shutters company being launched in Germany and The Netherlands. The brand must be appropriate for the tastes of both marketplaces and provide the scope to grow a successful ecommerce business.

The challenge

We had a tight window in which to create Avaeta’s brand identity and produce a Brand Book and Design System which would bring this new brand to life.

We started with in-depth market research and Brand Workshops with our client to establish the brand values, brand identity and key messages. We worked collaboratively throughout the process to create the final Brand Book which delivered a multitude of elements including the logo and visual identity, messaging, brand story, and illustrations along with graphics and animated assets to support social and campaign activity.

The outcomes

The brand book and associated campaign and content assets enabled the Avaeta team to successfully launch the business to brand new markets during the pandemic and a time when home comforts had become more important than ever. We continue to work with Decora on other projects and brands in their portfolio.
